    Advanced Hypnotherapy For Habits & Addictions

    Habits and addictions are repeated ways of behaving over which we have no control. Habits include such things as: nail-biting, teeth-grinding and hair-pulling. Common addictions are alcohol, drugs, chocolate and gambling.

    Addicts will experience withdrawal symptoms if they stop their addictive behaviour. The symptoms can range from headaches, anxiety, irritability, nausea and obsessive and overwhelming thoughts about the addictive behaviour.

    The most significant feature of habits and addictions is they are both rooted in the unconscious, so a person has no control over their capacity to stop the behaviour no matter how much they want to.

    However, the unconscious nature of the issue is also the reason hypnotherapy and NLP can help. As long as a client is committed to overcoming a habit or addiction then they can be helped.

    During a course of habit-breaking hypnosis treatments, I can generally help a client to become habit free within one to three sessions.
    Addictions are more complex but can also be helped. I encourage clients who come to me for help with addiction to use my services alongside other support therapies such as the 12-Step program.
